November 13th 2024, REED project team convened online for a crucial update meeting, driving forward our commitment to integrating ethical digitalization into educational systems. Here’s a closer look at the significant developments and what lies ahead for this transformative initiative.

Athens University of Economics and Business has been at the forefront of our research efforts, successfully conducting two focus groups involving a total of 10 participants. These discussions have been instrumental in gathering direct feedback and insights from those at the heart of educational and technological interfaces. The excitement builds as we anticipate the final focus group scheduled for next Tuesday, which will target practitioners and is expected to draw around 10 more participants. This session aims to further enrich our understanding of practical applications and challenges in the field.

Our partner EFIKO has made significant progress in dissecting the nuanced impacts of technology on both societal structures and environmental sustainability. Through three pivotal interviews, they’ve collected essential data that will inform the development of two key toolkits—one focused on mitigating technology’s environmental impact and another on enhancing societal well-being through ethical tech practices.

Quality assurance remains a cornerstone of our project’s success. HC is gearing up to distribute the second Quality Assurance report, an essential document that will guide the continuous improvement of our project outputs. This report is vital for maintaining the high standards we’ve set and ensuring that all project deliverables meet our stringent criteria for impact and integrity.

As we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in education and technology, our focus remains steadfast on crafting solutions that uphold ethical standards and promote sustainable practices. The insights and data gathered from our activities are paving the way for groundbreaking changes in how technology is taught and implemented across educational sectors.

Stay connected with the REED project as we move forward with our mission to mold a future where technology and education converge in the most ethical and innovative ways. Your involvement and support are invaluable to us as we navigate this journey of transformation.
