We are excited to announce that YET NGO has officially begun our journey with the Erasmus+ TEXSTYLE Project, marked by a vibrant virtual kick-off meeting held December 18th 2024. This initiative represents a significant step towards transforming the textile industry into a more sustainable and environmentally friendly sector.
In this ambitious project, YET NGO is proud to collaborate with exceptional partners:
- DAMERMET SRL from Romania, who is leading this project with expertise and vision.
- HELIXCONNECT Balkans from Serbia, bringing innovative approaches and regional insights.
The TEXSTYLE Project is dedicated to:
- Empowering Small Producers: We aim to equip small clothing producers with the knowledge and tools necessary to adopt circular and sustainable practices within their operations.
- Skill Development: We are committed to training SMEs in the textile sector on green skills and integrating digital solutions to enhance their productivity and sustainability.
- Advocacy for Slow Fashion: Through our efforts, we hope to promote slow fashion and innovative recycling methods, contributing to a reduction in the industry’s environmental impact.
During our initial meeting, we:
- Outlined the primary goals of the TEXSTYLE project, focusing on fostering a greener textile sector.
- Planned a series of impactful workshops and certifications designed to disseminate crucial sustainable practices and skills.
- Began building a comprehensive roadmap for policy recommendations that will advocate for and shape sustainable practices across the industry.
